Plan To Win

Plan To Win

If you had to drive to a place that you’ve never visited, what would be your first step? You’d likely pull out a map (or GPS), and pinpoint the best route to get from point A to point B. Throughout your journey, you’d frequently review the plan to confirm you were still on the right track. And if you encountered roadblocks or delays, you’d recheck the map and reroute accordingly.

Creating, executing, and checking a plan is standard for everything but our lives. Too often, we try and navigate our life’s goals without developing a plan for success. We are jumping in the car of life driving aimlessly and hoping we magically end up at our desired destination.

I’ve learned that success (of any kind) is rarely a stroke of luck; it’s a plan put into motion. I’m sharing steps that you can implement to win at life.

Get Specific

Defining success is the most challenging but essential part of setting any goal. It’s not enough to say, “I want to be rich.” It’s too vague and doesn’t clarify your destination. Instead, say, “I want to generate x amount of money, pay off my debt, and purchase a home.” Now, you know exactly where you want to be, and tracking your progress becomes much more manageable.

Get Intentional

You have to train your thoughts and actions to align with your desires. If you know that you’re saving for a home, then you have to avoid the unnecessary Target trips, skip the temporary luxuries, and remember #theresfoodathome. Being with your energy is going to bring you closer to the goal that you want to achieve.

Get To Work

Once you have a plan, you have to put some action behind it. There are so many people with a three-year plan and are nowhere near reaching their destination. This is equivalent to pulling up a route on the GPS, but never turning on your car. All the pretty planners in the world can’t propel you if you don’t put action behind your passion. Do what it takes to move you closer to where you want to be. And remember, no step is too small.

Get Results

Consistency breeds results. It’s inevitable. The more time, energy, and action you put into motion, the closer you’ll be to your final destination. It’s just the way it works.

I’ve decided to focus on my blog, body, and bible for the next 60 days. I’ve defined specific goals for each area and will put my plan into action today. I encourage you to join me in this short 60-day journey, and let’s see what we can accomplish together!
